At Home Upper Body Workout

Upper body strength is absolutely necessary for performing most normal activities of daily living. Lifting your baby, carrying grocery bags, and putting away dishes all require some type of strength in your arms and back. If you need a simple, yet effective, at home exercise – here you go!

I use dumbbells for all of these exercises. You can adjust the weight depending on your capabilities, and as you progress, you can always use heavier weights!

Bicep Curls:

Tricep Kickbacks:

Shoulder Press:

Bent-Over Rows:

Lateral Raises:

Tricep Extensions:

I usually do 3 sets of 12-15 repetitions for these workouts, and can get them all done in about 20 minutes. Remember to take a short rest between sets and be sure to stretch when you are done with everything! This will help to decrease soreness you may experience over the few days following these exercises. Healthy bodies lead to healthy minds! I hope you enjoy this workout!

With Love, Jeni
